Marechal Suchet

Document Signed by Louis Gabriel Suchet on November 16,1798. Suchet states in the letter " The General in Chief requested of me that I should send you the enclosed copy of General Guillaume's reply to the charges brought against him". At the time of this document,  Suchet was Chief of Staff of the Army of Italy reporting to Joubert. Shortly after (December 1798), Suchet was ordered to return to France and face charges as an emigre. Suchet eventually cleared,returned to the Army of the Danube at Massena's request.
